Terms and Conditions

1. Scope of Application
These General Terms and Conditions apply to all booking enquiries and rental contracts for the holiday home Casa Marina in Lanzarote, Spain. By submitting a booking enquiry, the guest agrees to these terms and conditions.
 
2. Booking Procedure and Conclusion of Contract
Direct bookings or instant reservations are not possible. All bookings are handled exclusively through the following process:
  • The guest submits a non-binding booking enquiry via the form on our website.
  • We check availability and send the guest a personalised, tailored offer by email within 48 hours. This offer contains the detailed price (including IGIC), a breakdown of all costs and the conditions.
  • The offer is non-binding and does not constitute a reservation.
  • The guest accepts the offer in writing by email.
  • After written acceptance, we will send a payment request.
  • The rental contract is only concluded once the full payment (100% prepayment) has been received within 7 days of the payment request.
  • Once the full amount has been received, the guest will receive an invoice, which simultaneously serves as the binding booking confirmation.

We reserve the right to reject booking enquiries without giving reasons.

 
3. Prices and Payment Terms
  • All prices are inclusive of the Canary Islands IGIC (Impuesto General Indirecto Canario) and are shown in detail in the personalised offer.
  • The final cleaning fee is not included in the base rental price and will be listed separately in the offer.
  • Any other costs (e.g. tourist tax, if applicable) will also be shown separately.
  • Payment terms: 100% prepayment within 7 days after receipt of the payment request.
  • The booking is only confirmed once the full payment has been received.

4. Cancellation and Refund Policy

Cancellations must be made in writing by email. The following conditions apply (from the date we receive the cancellation):

  • Within 48 hours after acceptance of the offer and receipt of the payment request: 100% refund (minus any bank fees).
  • Up to 30 days before arrival: 50% of the total amount will be refunded.
  • Between 29 and 14 days before arrival: 25% refund.
  • Less than 14 days before arrival or in case of no-show: no refund.

The separately listed final cleaning fee will be fully refunded in all cases, provided no additional cleaning costs have been incurred. In the event of cancellation by us (e.g. due to force majeure or official orders), we will refund the full amount paid. Further claims by the guest are excluded.

 
Recommendation: We strongly recommend taking out travel cancellation insurance.
 

5. Check-in and Check-out

  • Check-in: from 3:00 PM (15:00)
  • Check-out: by 10:00 AM

We will contact you in good time before arrival to organise the check-in personally. Every guest will be warmly welcomed on arrival and given a personal tour of the house and outdoor area.

 
6. Registration of Guests

In accordance with Spanish law (including the Organic Law for the Protection of Citizen Security), all guests must be registered with the authorities, regardless of age (including babies).

  • Approximately one week before arrival, we will send you a registration link.
  • All guests must register themselves via this link.
  • The data is automatically transmitted to the relevant authorities.

If registration is refused, we reserve the right to cancel the booking and refund the amount paid (minus any costs incurred).

 
7. Occupancy and Bedroom Use

The holiday home has 3 double bedrooms and 1 single bedroom and can accommodate a maximum of 7 persons + 2 babies.

  • The number of bedrooms made available depends on the number of guests booked.
  • For 2 persons we generally provide only one double bedroom.
  • Exception: If the guests are not a couple and explicitly request two separate bedrooms, we will accommodate this request where possible.
  • Unused bedrooms are usually locked and not accessible to the guests.

The maximum occupancy must not be exceeded.

 

8. House Rules

  • Smoking is strictly prohibited in all indoor areas.
  • Pets are only allowed with prior written permission.
  • Parties, loud celebrations and excessive noise are not permitted (consideration for neighbours).
  • The holiday home must be treated with care. Any damage must be reported immediately and will be charged.
  • The house should be left broom-clean and in reasonable order.

9. Liability

  • We are not liable for theft, loss or damage to guests’ personal belongings.
  • We are only liable for personal injury or property damage in cases of intent or gross negligence.
  • The guest is liable for all damage caused by themselves, fellow travellers or brought animals.

10. Final Provisions

  • Should any provision of these terms be invalid, the remaining provisions shall remain in force.
  • Spanish law applies. The place of jurisdiction is Arrecife (Lanzarote), insofar as legally permissible.
  • We reserve the right to amend these Terms & Conditions and will publish any changes on the website.
